Our mission is to foster a safer digital environment, especially for children and teenagers, by proactively detecting and preventing harmful behaviors such as bullying, harassment, and cyber grooming within online communities.
Amanda, our state-of-the-art, AI-driven SaaS solution works in real-time to identify and mitigate unwanted behaviors. By predicting potentially dangerous content, we enable early intervention to prevent abuse from escalating. Founded on a calling to make the internet a safer place for children and teenagers
In 2016, a heartbreaking sextortion case captured the attention of Professor Patrick Bours. Fourteen-year-old Amanda Todd was deceived by an adult male posing as an eighteen-year-old boy online, leading her to share intimate photographs. This deception resulted in relentless extortion and harassment, culminating in a tragic outcome.
The story of Amada Todd inspired Prof. Bours to focus his research in Behavioral Biometrics towards the creation of a proactive moderation tool to detect and stop predatory conversations and cyber grooming early. Since its inception in 2018, this tool has evolved into to Amanda, a comprehensive trust and safety platform, managing everything from content moderation and community insights to regulatory compliance.

Hege has over 15 years of experience been building business opportunities out of new technology, both as management consultant, investor and a driving force in the commercialization of cyber security research at NTNU for the last four years. She has been key in founding other companies, and Aiba is her fifth research-based company out of NTNU. In addition, she has over ten years of experience of directorship.

Prof. Patrick Bours
Lead Reseacher & Co-founder
Patrick holds a PhD in Discrete Mathematics and has nearly 10 years of experience in cryptology from the Netherlands National Communication Security Agency. His academic work at Gjøvik University College has focused on behavioral biometrics, including gait recognition and continuous keystroke dynamics — technologies that support real-time user authentication and behavioral analysis. He regularly collaborates with government and industry on applied research in digital security and trust.
Warin Jaeger
Head of Trust & Safety
Warin brings over a decade of experience in online safety, with a career spanning moderation, content policy, and Trust & Safety leadership. At MovieStarPlanet, he helped shape workflows and standards that protected millions of young users, while working with regulators and industry partners across Europe.
At Aiba, Warin applies his hands-on knowledge of what scales — and what doesn’t — to strengthen Amanda with smarter workflows, stronger compliance, and proactive safety by design.
Mustafa Suleimanji

With over 15 years of business experience, he brings expertise in Sales, Customer Success, New Business Development, International Scaling, Sales Strategy, and Team Management. His passion lies in creating value for partners and clients, driving revenue, and fostering sustainable growth.
He has a proven track record of expanding market share, building strong relationships, and leading successful product launches, primarily in the tech sector. Having lived, worked, and studied across Norway, East and Southern Africa, the Middle East, the UK, and Canada, he offers a broad cross-cultural perspective that shapes his approach to business and leadership.
Steinar Kvam
Chief Design Officer
Steinar is a multidisciplinary designer and communicator with 20 years of experience. For the past decade, he’s worked closely with tech start-ups, especially deep-tech ventures from NTNU, helping them turn complex ideas into communicatable, understandable products.
With a sharp focus on UX and interaction design, Steinar combines user research, prototyping, and testing with visuals and words to create clear, targeted communication that makes technology easier to grasp and apply in practice.
Andreas Holen
Head of Platform Ops
Andreas brings 20 years of experience in IT operations, spanning online stock trading, broadcasting, and telecom. He specializes in building and managing modern cloud-native environments with deep expertise in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
His toolkit includes NGINX, Ansible, OpenShift, Docker, Bash, Puppet, and automation frameworks, alongside strong foundations in Linux, MySQL, architecture, and Java monitoring. With a focus on reliability, scalability, and automation, Andreas helps complex systems run smoothly and efficiently.

Passionate about new technologies, gaming, and AI, Camille brings several years of experience managing projects at the intersection of innovation and user experience. With a strong background in the gaming industry and a user-centric mindset, she specializes in delivering impactful solutions that enhance engagement and satisfaction.
She thrives in cross-functional, international teams, working closely with Product, Tech, and Design to drive results. A true team player, Camille combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to lead projects from concept to launch, always with the end user in mind.
Marcus Hülsdau
Data Scientist
Marcus Hülsdau studied electrical engineering in Münster, Germany and holds two M.Sc from Kozminski University (Poland) and Lancaster University (UK). Before joining Aiba, Marcus helped some of the largest companies in Germany implementing natural language processing in their customer facing operations and founded a med-tech startup.

Marius Hernes Brateng earned his Master of Science in Cybernetics and Robotics from NTNU.
With previous experience at Hexagon Ragasco, Marius has been exposed to the intricacies of both technical and commercial aspects of projects.
His expertise lies in backend development, where he has contributed to the creation of robust and scalable software systems.

Christopher Coello (PhD)
ML Scientist
Christopher has worked in medical imaging for 10 years, both in academia and in pharma companies. Since 2015, Christopher has been a data scientist in fintech, agritech and in the energy sector. He has implemented EDA, ML and AI solutions in startups (Hagal), mid-size companies (Norsvin, Imanova) and large companies (Elvia, Thomson Reuters), both nationally and internationally. His wide experience spans a wide spectrum of data sources (time-series, images, videos and text) and use-cases.
Christopher Hamilton

Christopher manages partner relations at Aiba. Outside work, he helps organize IGDA Leadership Day, co-creates the game Bumper Blitz TD, and advises startups like FastSight.ai. He comes from journalism, nonprofits, technical writing, and game development, and loves building strong teams and communities.
Andreas Slettvoll
Board Chair
Andreas is the founder of CHOOOSE and serves on the boards of both commercial and non-commercial organizations within technology, energy transition, and sports.
Before CHOOOSE, he worked as a corporate lawyer specializing in M&A and commercial contract law, advising energy companies, nation states, and international investment banks.
His main focus today is building technology companies, alongside passions for ski jumping, basketball, Formula 1, and, most importantly, his family.

Lars Lydersen holds a bachelor’s degree in econoomics from The University of Oslo, a master’s degree in electronics and a PhD in Quantum Cryptography from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has broad international experience from technology startups. Currently, he works as an investment partner in Wiski Capital, an early-phase venture capital firm backing the rawest technology founders to shape the future.
